Wildlife Rehabilitation

Every week I volunteer at Wildwoods in Duluth, MN. It’s a wildlife rehabilitation facility and I get to help injured and orphaned critters get back on their feet. Visit http://www.wildwoodsrehab.org to learn more about wildlife rehabilitation.

Please note: I am NOT a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, nor am I a representative of Wildwoods. I simply volunteer my time. What I write here is not necessarily the opinion nor guidance that Wildwoods would express.

I’ve seen some beautiful things at Wildwoods wildlife rehab and I don’t want to forget, so here’s a list.

Plus, every week I post a little blip about what I’ve seen. You can check out the blogroll here.

  • Blue Herron
  • Bald Eagle
  • American Bittern
  • Cedar Waxwings
  • Starlings
  • Robins
  • Mourning Dove
  • Pigeons
  • Rolling Pigeon
  • Ring-billed Gull
  • Mice
  • Squirrels; gray, red, black
  • Franklin Ground Squirrel
  • Cooper’s Hawk
  • Barred Owl

I only got to see the following, not touch them, because they are rabies vector species and I don’t have my vaccinations yet:

  • Wolf
