Cider Brats

A quick post this time. Husband made the MOST delicious brats and I had to share the recipe with everyone.

Cider Brats


  • Angry Orchard’s Traditional Dry Hard Cider
  • 1/2 a yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp kosher salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
  • 6 fresh, uncooked brats
  • Sauer kraut (optional)
  • Apple BBQ sauce (optional, but STRONGLY recommended. We got ours from Maiden Rock Cidery)


  1. Combine cider, onion, pepper, salt, garlic, vinegar and brats in a dish and marinade for at least 1 hour. Grill until done. Serve with kraut and apple bbq sauce.
