Photoshop Photomerge – a study

I have never used the Photomerge tool in Photoshop CS4 before; I figured it wouldn’t work well and I never take series shots of a panorama anyway. But I couldn’t help myself on a recent walk on Mesaba Ave.

There are several settings in the Photomerge tool so I went ahead and tried them all using the same pictures to see what the differences would be. They all worked surprisingly well! The only place they had trouble with was connecting a piece of railing in the lower left foreground. But I bet you probably wouldn’t have noticed it if I hadn’t told you. 😀

All the versions below were done with the “Blend Images Together” box checked and the “Vignette Removal” box checked as well, where applicable.
