Since the point of this whole project is to see how Lake Superior and Duluth change as time goes by, and my goal was mainly to do this by observing the over-all color of each photograph, I decided it was high time to take a monthly average of the averages. The results are a bit surprising to me, I’ll admit. I figured December would be light gray or maybe even a pale blue, but nope. It’s mostly brown. Go figure! This probably has something to do with the fact that all the buildings around here are brown and when all the rest of the color (green grass, blue lake) are covered by snow, the brick really take the show.
Anyway, without further delay, here is an overview of the past 10 months; the Averages of Their Averages (click for a larger view).
